What do you really need?
How could I possibly know?
I only see you sitting high on your steed
We appear separated, indeed
but is that really the case?
When we meet, and love is present
Everyone feels it — in unison we breathe
When they watch you do a good deed
In our hearts — elevation replaces worry of the rent
The opposite is true in the presence of greed
We’re all aware of all the mouths which we do not feed
We see it, but we look the other way
We drink our mead, or smoke our weed
and we keep letting the greed breed
You, I, we bleed
In our quest for freedom
we freed a demon!
In return — over tid
the demon has planted a seed
It feeds of darkness
Takes no more than what it truly needs to grow
like all being except humans think
By stealing, hurting and dammaging
we’ll eventually all sink
We’ll be gone within a blink.
Facts aside – give the thinking mind a break
Instead, what do you feel for a change?
No, seriously, I mean it: don’t take!
Give the thinking mind a a proper time out
Silence the monkey mind
What is our existence actually about?
We’re walking mindlessly
in the darkness of our own rationality
lies the source of unimaginable light
(We can never think about it,
but we can always feel it)
As soon as the black noise fades out
and the white light fades in
we are resonating
across time and space
That’s not even a proper word
